On the Unity acquisition thing, I'm also thinking Apple might use it to further disincentivize Unreal Engine use for mobile platforms. Assuming they do acquire Unity, "Get a lower 15% revenue share in the Apple App Store if you use Unity as a game engine when publishing" would be something I see Apple would do just to spite Epic.

Epic is already using this strategy for EGS. Lower revenue share of 3.5% instead of standard 5% if you release a title simultaneously in EGS.

Also with the recent CTO leaving Unity, your prediction might be *righttt* in the ballpark. I just hope it's Meta or Microsoft that acquires Unity though. I don't want Apple to hamper Unity's direct-to-consumer efforts.
